Text complexity – longer or generally more complex text will require careful processing and more time
Text type – specialized text will require more time and a specific approach
Quality of the source text – text that requires graphic editing, transcription into another type of document, or is generally not well structured will require careful processing and more time
Processing speed – a request for an express order with a shorter deadline may affect the price

You contact me by email or phone (see Contact) and tell me your requirements, ideas and wishes, including sending the relevant text
Clarification of information
I may get back to you if I need to clarify anything about the text
Text analysis
To determine the price and delivery time, I need to assess all important aspects of the text (see What can affect the price of the service and delivery time)
Submission of a price quote including delivery date
After analyzing the text, I will present you with a price quote and a possible delivery date, or I will confirm or regretfully reject the date you requested
Confirmation of cooperation
After considering the price and deadline, you will confirm or refuse to cooperate with me on the given order
The work itself
Hooray, now it's time to get down to the actual translation or proofreading 😊
Submitting the finished text
After translation or proofreading, I will deliver the finished text to you, of course within the agreed deadline
Confirmation of acceptance and satisfaction with the work performed
You will let me know that the text has arrived safely, that you are satisfied with the final work, and that everything is OK and no further adjustments are needed
Invoicing
If everything is OK, in the last step of our cooperation, I will send you an invoice for the work done, ask you to pay for it, and I will look forward to further cooperation 😊
About me
My name is Jana Dráčková and I have always been fascinated by foreign languages. However, at a professional level, I only focus on English. I graduated in English Language and Literature in Brno and started translating almost immediately after finishing my studies. At first rather occasionally, then on a regular basis.
Of course, during that time, a translator gains a lot of experience, yet, sometimes there are expressions or even entire topics that are surprising and are a great challenge 😊 Despite this fact, I still enjoy translating and would like to continue doing it in the future.
